About Me

My photo
Island girl & Vegas junkie. Sharing my obsession of Sin City. Off the strip, on the strip, dining, hotels, & fashion. No fancy schmancy camera (at least not yet) but I hope you enjoy my view of this wonderful playland in the dessert and some fillers here & there of my hermit lifestyle.

Vegas Miao and Mousubi

7.17th.7

This DYI Miao and mousubi was purchased from a great local artist at Zakkamono.com. It is a DYI Miao and mousubi. For you creative and artistic people out there, sky’s the limit with this blank canvas. Since I lack in the artistic and creative department, I asked the artist if he could do a Vegas themed Miao and Mousubi.

I stumbled upon Zakkamono by chance, It was at a Norstroms event promoting the ever popular Tokidoki. The famous Tokidoki designer Simone Legno and Zakkamon collaborated to create a Miao and Mousubi using Simone Legno’s tokidoki designs on Miao and Mousubi. Thanks to Rae Rae, his other artistic half, I was very fortunate to get my hands on a signed Miao and Mousubi Tokidoki

Couture Pops

7th.7.7

With Valentines right around the corner, I just wanted to share a sweet sugar find that I just love. Who doesn't love a lollipop? It brings me back such fun memories of my carefree childhood. Sugar Factory has taken the iconic lollipop and leveled it up to couture pop. There were so many to choose from I just could not decide. I finally went with the Signature Series by Kim Kardashian called champagne, colors of sparkling pinks and white. The sales person there was really helpful; I ended up purchasing over $100.00. That's sounds like a lot, but at $22.00 -$25.00 a pop, I didn’t end up with much in my cute Sugar Factory bag. The sales line that drew me in hook line and sinker to buy more... Pina Colada, adults love this with their cocktails she noted, so I ended up getting refills and other pops for friends. It was a definite Christmas hit!! Everyone loved them. The convenient clear cover allows you to store your couture pop if you so happen not to finish the sweet treat. No worries with running out of sugar. Lolipop heads (refills) are available in all sorts of fruity flavors and are priced at about $12.00. The sales person did note that if you do get refills, you should order the V2. This is the second version of the refill which stays on the stick better. Las Vegas is the first state to have an official Sugar Factory store. It is located at the Mirage on the Las Vegas strip. They are slated to be opening several other stores which includes locations at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood (February 14, 2010) and at the Paris Hotel which supposedly will be it’s flagship store. Looking forward to that store for sure. Those of you who can't get to the store, you can purchase them online at SugarFactory.com. I also know that they did carry it at Neiman Marcus during the holiday season.
